VANCOUVER, B.C. – August 6, 2015 – QuickMobile, the global leader in mobile event apps, is pleased to announce that Tahira Endean, Manager of Events, has been named one of the top 30 Certified Meeting Professionals (CMP) by the Convention Industry Council (CIC) as part of its first peer-nominated influencers campaign in honor of the CMP Program’s 30th Anniversary. The CIC recognized the #CMP30 Influencers for their “substantial impact on their colleagues and communities, and whose contributions have left an indelible mark on the global meetings and events industry.” In July 2015, Endean was also named one of the top five women in event technology by a panel of industry influencers and peers.
In a recent press release, CIC CEO Karen Kotowski, CAE, CMP, said, “As CMP turns thirty, the Influencers program has been a wonderful way to celebrate those industry leaders who have made a difference over the past three decades. The response has been overwhelmingly positive as colleagues nominated their peers and mentors, reflecting on those who made a lasting impact on their careers. These CMP Influencers are exemplary models of what the CIC stands for – fiercely committed to the advancement of the meetings profession.”
The #CMP30 campaign launched in April 2015 and was driven by social media as industry professionals used Facebook and Twitter to nominate the individuals who had influenced them personally and professionally. From the social channels, more than 75 people were nominated, with the final vote coming from a Facebook poll of industry professionals. The final top 30 CMP Influencers were selected by a committee based on the number of Facebook poll votes, personal influence on peers, and community/leadership presence.
“Tahira is one of the hardest working professionals in our industry, and deserves all the recognition she has received for her commitment to her craft, colleagues and community,” said Craig Brennan, CEO of QuickMobile. “She is a critical part of our team and works hand-in-hand with our customers and partners, ensuring that QuickMobile continues to deliver the best possible mobile event app experience. We are fortunate that she is part of our team, and anticipate many more awards to follow.”
