Company awarded Technology Impact Award for its outstanding performance as a technology enterprise
VANCOUVER, B.C. – June 7, 2013 – QuickMobile, the leading provider of mobile event app solutions, today announced that it has been awarded the Technology Impact Award for Emerging Company of the Year. The award, presented by the BC Technology Industry Association, is given annually to an emerging company (over three-years old) that has demonstrated outstanding performance as a technology enterprise. The winner of the Emerging Company of the Year award is one that has growing revenues, is on track according to its business plan, and has the potential of becoming a leader in its market.
QuickMobile pioneered the mobile event app for meetings, conferences and exhibitions developing the first iPhone event app in 2008; the first iPad meeting app in 2010; first mobile event application for all five major mobile platforms and the first event app with game-style incentives in 2011; and the first multi-event app platform for the enterprise in 2012. By the end of 2012, QuickMobile produced 1,100 apps, served 25 of the Fortune 100, and built a network of more than 30 global channel partners.
“We couldn’t be more excited to be recognized as the BCTIA Emerging Company of the Year,” said Patrick Payne, CEO of QuickMobile. “B.C. is a hub of technology activity, launching and developing a number of innovative products and companies that will have far-reaching benefits for many years to come. As demand for our products and services has grown, we expanded quickly, and we have found tremendous support and resources within our own B.C. community. The Technology Impact Award is yet one more validation point for our business and a major compliment to our growing team of professionals who continue to drive our company forward.”
Already this year, QuickMobile has been named as one of the top 100 technology companies in Vancouver by Business In Vancouver, and it ranked 13th on the 25th Annual PROFIT 500 ranking of Canada’s Fastest-Growing Companies by PROFIT Magazine. On the PROFIT 500, QuickMobile was ranked the second fastest-growing software development company in Canada and the third fastest growing company in Vancouver.
