QuickMobile, IMEX Group and CEMA Collaborate on Part Two of Annual Technology Survey of Global Event Professionals

VANCOUVER, B.C. – September 16, 2014 – QuickMobile, the recognized global leader in mobile event apps, IMEX Group, and the Corporate Event Marketing Association (CEMA) today announced part two of a global research study of meeting professionals to identify perceptions, uses, challenges and opportunities surrounding mobile event apps. Part one of the survey was completed earlier this year with results reported at IMEX in Frankfurt. This second round of research, once again conducted by Insights West, will target corporate event marketers and focus on budgeting, app functionality, and how the mobile app fits into the overall events and meetings strategy. The survey results will be presented at IMEX America in Las Vegas October 14, 2014.

“The insights from the first study announced in May provided the industry’s first broad understanding of the trends and uses of mobile event apps,” said Kim Gishler, Executive Director of CEMA. “We will use this next round of surveys to reach even more industry professionals and strengthen our initial benchmarks. It’s clear from the first survey that mobile event apps are having a positive impact on meetings and conferences. New innovations in mobile and app technologies will likely do even more to improve the event experience. The research will target CEMA’s database of independent, agency and corporate event marketers and professionals. The survey will analyze the following areas:

  • Penetration of mobile event apps
  • Functional requirements of mobile event apps
  • Integrations of third-party solutions such as registration systems, e-commerce, and business intelligence
  • Social networking
  • Analytics and ROI
