TechSpec, brainchild of Corbin Ball and James Spellos, to make site inspections and comparison easier for meeting professionals
VANCOUVER, B.C. – July 31, 2012 – QuickMobile and event industry thought leaders Corbin Ball and James Spellos today launched TechSpec, a free iPhone and Android app that makes site visits and comparisons easier and more efficient. TechSpec helps meeting planners and organizers during site visits to quickly gather relevant information about venues’ technology capabilities and amenities, as well as document general hotel information and capture venue pictures. With the information, users can build detailed profiles and generate ratings for all venues, and then share their findings with others with a simple touch of a button.
Site selection is critical to the success of an event, and TechSpec will help meeting professionals more effectively and efficiently evaluate and compare venues, said Ball. With the help of QuickMobile, we have taken everything that meeting planners would normally do on paper and put it on a mobile app. With TechSpec, meeting professionals not only have venue profiles and ratings at their fingertips, they can also share and compare their findings with their event teams and peers.
With each event, it becomes more evident that mobile technology is changing the event industry, for everything from how meeting organizers plan and manage meetings to how attendees interact and engage with exhibitors, sponsors and presenters, added Spellos. Recognizing this trend, Corbin and I turned to the leading developer of mobile solutions for the event industry, QuickMobile, and together, we have developed a one-of-a-kind solution that will further advance the event industry.
TechSpec includes the following features:
TechSpec is designed exclusively for the meeting planner and was inspired by the collective experiences of two of the event industrys strongest technology advocates, said David Stratton, Vice President of Business Development for QuickMobile. Meeting professionals have firmly embraced the capabilities and benefits of mobile technology, and by building a free tool that adds convenience to meeting planners processes, we are demonstrating one more example of our commitment to the event community.
