As QuickMobile’s CEO, David is responsible for all aspects of the company’s strategic direction and operations. He has over 30 years of executive leadership experience in Fortune 500 companies including Nortel Networks and Pitney Bowes. Prior to joining QuickMobile, David was CEO of ELIX Wireless, a leader in high-performance wireless power transfer systems, and has a successful track record with several start-ups that include Sea to Sky Gondola Corporation, Convedia Corporation, and Icron Technologies Corporation.
David has a Master of Business Administration (Finance and Marketing) from McGill University and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical) from the University of New Brunswick.
Praveen is Chief Operating and Financial Officer of QuickMobile. He has over 25 years experience in the technology industry.
Prior to joining QuickMobile, he was the COO and CFO of Layer 7 Technologies, helping to secure more than $20 million in venture capital financing and negotiating the sale of the company to CA technologies. He has also worked as a contract COO and CFO for various companies, including Altus Solutions and Exigo Solutions. Praveen also served as CFO for fSONA Communications Corp, Eftia OSS Solutions and Opcom Solutions.
As QuickMobile’s Chief Marketing Officer, Julie drives the company’s marketing strategy, lead generation and business development. She has over 15 years experience establishing and leading marketing in global technology organizations and startups. Prior to joining QuickMobile, Julie co-founded and was CMO for Yocale Network Corporation, a platform for social, local and mobile marketing.
Previously, Julie served as Vice President of Worldwide Marketing at Aptean, one of the largest enterprise application software companies, where she managed all aspects of global marketing for the company’s diverse offerings, including CRM, eCommerce, ERP and supply chain solutions. Julie has also held a variety of positions with CDC Software, which later became Aptean, including serving as the Vice President of Global Marketing. Over the course of her career, she has managed through more than 20 strategic acquisitions that both increased market share and expanded the business footprint.Julie currently serves as an advisor to technology companies servicing the financial, telecommunications, and emerging technology markets.
Patrick is a serial entrepreneur with more than 30 years experience in the technology sector. He co-founded QuickMobile in 2006 and was the CEO for more than eight years until 2014. During that time the company conceived, designed and developed the first mobile event app and supporting platform and in doing so created a new mobile category. Patrick led the company from the start-up concept stage, through the initial commercialization of the technology to becoming the global leader in enterprise mobile event apps in 2014. During this period of hyper-growth he raised millions in financing, grew the company from the first customer to hundreds of customers including more than 50 Fortune 100 companies. Worldwide, millions of people use QuickMobile's platform and mobile applications to enhance their experience at meetings events.
Award highlights include 2013 Deloitte Fast 50 (Number 1 Fastest Growing Technology Company in Canada 2013 and 21st in North America); 2013 Profit Magazine Number 2 fastest growing company; the prestigious Innovation Award from PCMA, the leading organization for meeting and event professionals; BCTIA Technology Impact Award (TIA) for Emerging Company of the Year two consecutive years, 2014 Deloitte Technology Fast 50 (number 5 in Canada and 11th in North America) and Event Innovators of the Year (2014) Award from Biz Bash; and the ICTC Strategic HR Management Award from the CATA Alliance.
Prior to QuickMobile, Patrick was founder and CEO of Mobile Operandi Communication which developed the Mophone mobile consumer social networking service before being sold to Vantage Point Venture Partners in 2006. Previous to this, he spent 5 years at Ericsson as Director of Mobile Internet based in Brussels, Belgium where he was responsible for divisional sales, business development, mobile strategy, and external partnering. In 1989, Patrick co-founded Vancouver-based Memex Software which developed a digital TV management platform for global satellite broadcast systems. While working at Distinctive Software during the late 80's (now Electronic Arts Canada), Patrick scored the original music for the video game Test Drive which eventually grew into the world's best selling racing game franchise.
Patrick was a founding director of WaveFront AC, an organization that helps wireless companies with technology acceleration and commercialization. He also served for 5 years as a director at the Wireless Innovation Network of BC (WINBC) now DigiBC, which helps to foster collaboration amongst early-stage wireless companies in Canada.
Robert is QuickMobile's Vice President, Engineering. He has more than 20 years of experience leading technical teams, managing the entire lifecycle of software system development, and building scalable and reliable SaaS solutions for small businesses and large enterprises.
Prior to joining QuickMobile, he was VP of Engineering for Vitria Technology, where he was responsible for all product development, quality assurance and DevOps functions for the real-time operations intelligence agency. He also served as senior director for engineering for CA, where he was responsible for implementing and supporting CA's cloud-based IT Service Management product suite. At CA, he also managed three engineering teams in four global locations.
A veteran of Silicon Valley, Chen has held various management and engineering positions at IBM, BEA and Oracle in addition to a number of successful start-ups.
As Vice President, Client Delivery, Craig is responsible for managing the delivery of all QuickMobile client projects. Craig brings a wide range of experience in software development and management gained over the past 23 years in the high-tech and telecom sectors, including senior roles in both large companies and start-up ventures.
Since 2004, Craig has pioneered new start-up firms in the mobile arena, including Mobile Operandi Communications, a mobile consumer social networking service, EQO Communications, a mobile VoIP solution, and Altus Solutions, a network performance and traffic management solution. Previously Craig held senior positions with Telus and Siemens in Canada, UK and Germany.
Craig holds a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering from North Staffs University.
Roohshan is the Vice President, Client Services. He is responsible for the company's professional services team, which helps clients get even more out of their mobile event solutions. He brings over ten years experience in the high-tech industry spanning a wide range of roles within production and information technology.
In his previous role, Roohshan was instrumental in growing Blast Radius, a premier digital interactive agency, from a 100-employee firm based in Vancouver to a multinational firm with over 450 employees, $60 million in revenues and offices throughout North America and Europe. As part of the management team at Blast Radius, Roohshan provided technical consulting services to key clients such as Nike, Nintendo and Ford.
He also managed the implementation and rollout of company-wide enterprise information systems, including enterprise resource planning, business process engineering, and enterprise-wide business systems.
Roohshan holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Entrepreneurship from Babson College and a Master of Science in Engineering Management from Northeastern University.
Scott is the Managing Director, Strategic Partners for QuickMobile. He has over 20 years experience in strategic relationships, sales leadership and building great teams for mobile and telecommunications companies. In his role at QuickMobile, he works with the world's largest companies in the event industry to help them take mobile event solutions to their clients. Originally from the UK, Scott has called Vancouver, B.C. home since he was a young lad.
Banks is General Manager, EMEA at QuickMobile. In this role, he is responsible for new business development, strategic relationships, and sales management for QuickMobile's operations throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
He brings over 16 years of international business development and sales leadership experience, most recently serving as Senior Manager of Emerging Markets, EMEA for The ACTIVE Network. As part of ACTIVE's EMEA management team, Banks was vital in its success as the fastest growing division worldwide. Originally from Raleigh, North Carolina, Banks is currently based in London, England.
